DLANC Needs Volunteers on Sept. 24 for Homeless Veteran Outreach

On Thursday the 24th, DLANC, LAANC and the WLASNC have reached across Los Angeles to help bring homeless veterans from Skid Row to the West L.A. Veterans Administration for housing, physical and mental healthcare, as well as all other services provided by the VA.

We will have busses, courtesy of Council member Bonin, transporting homeless vets from 1:30-6 PM.

We need all available help both in skid row and in West L.A.

If you have a few hours and are willing to give them up, please e me right away.

7th Street Improvement Project Meeting Notice

7th Street Improvement Project Notice: The project approvals for the Wilshire Grand Center included over $9 million in offsite streetscape improvements geared toward enhancing pedestrian and multi-modal access on 7th Street. The project area is 7th Street from the 110 freeway east to Olive Street, and the Wilshire Boulevard bridge.

DLANC Presents "Vision Downtown"

Downtown Los Angeles, CA, November 14, 2014– The Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council (DLANC) has become the first neighborhood council to have sought and secured the resources to map its own future.

In 2012, DLANC was awarded a grant" from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) to craft its own vision for the future. “Vision Downtown” is the product of that grant. The greatest promise of Vision Downtown will be its ability to provide a much-needed framework for Downtown’s successful evolution and fulfill the vision for future generations.

Programming at the Little Tokyo Library

Never a shortage of fantastic and free programming, the Little Tokyo Library has really outdone itself this time. There is something for everyone. Quilting, Children's Storytime, always a favorite "Fast Film Fridays", and a hypertension workshop.

DLANC to hold Selection Process for Two Empty Seats

A selection of Board Members will be held at the time of our regularly scheduled Board Meeting, on July 8, 2014   at 6:30 PM.

At that time, a selection of persons to fill the two vacant board seats will be held according to the standing rules.
